My Mom saw an ad for a really cute vintage type website called Bella Pamela.

Their offer a wide variety of children and adult aprons, hair ties, baby bibs, and fabrics.My favorite is the Eunice and Katherine aprons.

To My Sister On Her Birthday....

Happy Birthday Nicole! I thought about using "To my elderly sister" as my title but thought twice as I value my life more than my humor (No, the fact that you are half-way to fifty has nothing to do with it).

In all seriousness please read the rest of my post before you go and buy a sniper gun.

(Let me use this as a prelude to the birthday card I am making for you)

The Lord has tremendously blessed our family with you; especially in the past six or five years you have been a very prominent model in my life. I know this is because the Lord has matured and strengthened you not only your walk with Him but also in your character and convictions. Your steadfastness, perseverance, and incredible love have made a difference in my life. You have shown me what it truly means to submit and respect a husband; care for your children (And still keep your sanity); and how to be sensible, upright, caring, and selfless. Whether you intended to show me these things or not this is what you have done; I am reminded and convicted to do these things because of you.

Like I said, I have written down some more personal things to share with you and you will get that when we see you next week.

For now know that I thank the Lord for you and I love you very much.

Bon Anniversaire, Sophia!

Happy Birthday, Sophia!

I remember when you were born in Austin six years ago. You were just a little bundle then and now you're more precious than ever.

It seems like very little time has passed but I can see that you're already growing up to be a sweet young lady and an asset to your father's household.

It's a joy to see you helping momma in the kitchen and always being willing to help daddy with his motorcycle :).

I love you, Sophia, and I thank the Lord for blessing our family with you!

Pictures from our trip...

Here are "A few" pictures from our trip to Arkansas; as most of you may know we traveled to visit the Naquins grandparents (with the Naquins). It was very relaxing and we had a splendid time! Mr. and Mrs. Newton were very welcoming and hospitable, we all felt at home right away.
They were very sweet to us the entire time we were with them. It was a wonderful, peaceful prelude to our week ahead...

Because we left to early Caro and Ryle were sleepy on the way...

We all enjoyed our time and loved every minute we spent with the Naquins and their family, but traveling seems to be our life right now so we went on the road again :)

A New Day is Dawning.....

So today was the first day of many to come. It started off with the girls quietly getting up this morning and starting a quiet movie. Mommy has been so tired lately. Then at bath time, Sophia took the initiative and bathed herself and Mia. Ahhhh... my work here is almost complete. And she was so sweet about it. " Mommy, when your tummy is REALLY big, then you don't have to bathe us. I can do it. See!" Of course, there was still soap in their hair and Mia looked half drowned, but STILL! My hard work is finally starting to pay off. I know its silly but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now!

Jasmine has been posting truthful and encouraging words ever since she started her blog and this post in particular was so encouraging to me today. Thank you, Jasmine, for all your encouraging and convicting words!
I confess: I woke up this morning dreading what I would hear on the radio. However, my mood changed after I read and prayed through my readings for today. Here's just a couple of passages in Psalm 2 and 5 that put away the doubt and uncertainty I felt,

" But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;
let them ever sing for joy,
and spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may exult in you.
For you bless the righteous, O LORD;
you cover him with favor as with a shield."

and

" Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying,
"Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us."

He who sits in the heavens laughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.
Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,
"As for me, I have set my King
on Zion, my holy hill."

I will tell of the decree:The LORD said to me, "You are my Son;
today I have begotten you.
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and the ends of the earth your possession.
You shall break them with a rod of iron
and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel."

Now therefore, O kings, be wise;

We interrupt the silence with news about...

Ok, I know we haven't been blogging for a few days but there is a good excuse for that.

My family (excluding dad) took a week vacation to Arkansas, where some friends live. Our trip was cut short due to a death in our family. My great-grandmother passed away on Thursday at 95 years old. We left from Arkansas on Friday and we drove to Oklahoma, where my dad met us by plane. We ate dinner with my uncle and then continued our trip to New Mexico. We attended the viewing for my great-grandmother on Saturday. My dad is leaving to Ohio on a business trip but the rest of us will stay in NM until Friday to help.
We'll be back to blogging in a few days.
