Jumpy Places, a Wedding, and Camping

Hurrah for Jumpy places! Those are awesome places to go in the morning (no grimy kids...besides ours), have kids burn energy (without being attacked by mosquitoes and heat stroke), and all in one room. Also, it is such an amazing spark for me kids to use your imagination. We celebrated Mia birthday with going to the Jumpy Place and having pizza and cupcakes with the fam.

That evening we all attended Emily and Nathan's Celidah. Everyone had a lovely time dancing. Bedtime that night was usual (which is somewhere close to, or past, twelve).

At 6:00 am I woke up and convinced myself that taking a shower would make me happy and awake. It didn't. I could still have gone to bed just as well. 

But once we went to the church I woke up.

Many people had come two hours early, thinking we would be short on time to prepare. But (thankfully) we finished everything with plenty of time to spare.

And yes, if you were wondering, I am aware that the "N and E" picture is upside down.

The Reception.

As we sat around the the table and talked, the girls requested Eva's presence, and being the youngest at the table, I brought the baby over. :P

Eva can be quite the catch! She was making everyone work for her smile. Sarah was able to get a smile, after a cell phone was given to Eva, and then Eva was transferred to Anna and Eva gave another smile. 

As the reception came to a natural close (everyone was getting hungry for dinner), Nathan and Emily began to make their escape.

So, on Thursday after Emily's wedding we geared up and went camping to Pedenales falls. I'm afraid I didn't take too many pictures besides these :(. But other more dedicated bloggers captured some photos.

This is the third or fourth recommendation from our dear friends the Loyd's, and I'm a little bit hooked.

I gobbled read this book in five days. I always forget how much I like fantasy/ adventure/ fiction books, till I read one. Haven't decided if I completely like this one, so I'm reading the series.

Thanksgiving 2011!

Well, I thought I would share with you my thanksgiving in Burnet, TX.

Mary Poppins Writes {Day 1}

yes, it was a wonderful cat nap; no drool was involved and Caro was gracious enough to take a far away picture of the sleeping beauties--thanks Caro!}

Today is my first day here in the Webb home! We've already started reading The Magician's Nephew; I really like to have a "long-term" book to read when I'm here for extended periods of time. Nicole and I set our calendar and schedules (her on her iphone and me on my scrap sheet of notebook paper, that is!) and we have a game plan; meals are set, outings planned, and appointments are scheduled (TMI)! I just hope we don't melt while we're out on the town.

And you guessed it, another blog series is underway; there will be daily (meaning every 24-hours) posts on my time here, complete with pictures and comments on the day!

Check back each day for a new glimpse! However, patience is required on the days when laundry is piled or people just collapse into bed. : )

{One last goodbye}

Naturally we had to stop at our favorite taqueria before heading to Austin; it's a wonderful place that serves mouth watering breakfast tacos (the best ever!) and they know us by name--a good time all around. If you ever stop by, try to sit with your back against the TV's; it's just Mexican novellas but they're super over dramatic and paints an unrealistic picture of our culture...or perhaps too realistic picture...hm... more on that later!

As I think back on this evening, I am reminded of how wonderfully simple it is to be two:

people kiss you all the time, you never sit in a soiled diaper for too long (right?), you never fend for yourself, and the ladies generally melt when you smile their way.

The only draw back is when you can only find one of your sister's purple, fluffy high heels;

that's just the pits.

I'm really looking forward to this time. : )

Sweet Times at Sweet Berry Farms

Last weekend, we were persuaded to go to Marble Falls to Sweet Berry Farms. We managed to get the Burdell family to join us on our adventure. We had a blast. We enjoyed a picnic lunch, strawberry popsicles, a maze, and pumpkin painting. Emily, Sophie, and Mia painting their pumpkins.
