Hope Chest!

Yes its true, I have recently gotten a Hope chest! Now all three of us girls have a hope chest. It's kind of funny, we all agreed that for each girls 13th birthday they would get a hope chest. Well, we were on time for Elena....but we didn't get Mica's till she was 16, and we were only a year late for me, but doesn't matter now. :) I am so excited, but I not quite sure what to put into it. So I ask,

what have you or would you put in your hope chest?

Verse of the Week

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

This is my favorite Psalm. My hope chest will have this reference on the front. I love how you can see just how much David loved the Lord, trusted Him, was devoted to Him, and had such a close and personal relationship with Him. I pray that my relationship with the Lord will be like David's one day.

A Real Simple to add to your hope chest...

For a while I have been reading RealSimple magazine and it is a truly practical, interesting magazine with plenty of helpful tips and advice for home and gardening. I highly recommend it for aspiring homemakers or ladies who already manage a home. Their homeorganizing checklists and forms are very helpful; on more than one occasion I have consulted my Aunt Amparo on different stains and she keeps a Real Simple checklist on the inside of her laundry room cabinet! She is the one who introduced my Mother and I to the magazine; now whenever we are in Half-Price Books we look for it in their magazine section.
